Tonight I went to the Rathskeller. This is a German themed bar on Mass Ave, one of Indy’s cultural districts. I ordered a German beer I’d never heard of, based on the clue that part of its name sounded like “pilsner”. Whatever it was didn’t taste too bad.
Rizz, Allie, and I watched a longhaired cover band pretend to rock out. Their youngest member was at least 36. We ate soft pretzels and spicy mustard with our beer. Well, I tried the spicy mustard…they watched. The busts of moose and deer hung on the walls and colorful banners inscribed with German hung from the ceiling.
After the Rathskeller, we headed to The Chatterbox for some awesome live jazz. As always, it was a great time. I love that place! It’s so tiny you have to sit on top of strangers, but the music is totally worth it. All in all, it was a sweet evening with Allie and Rizz! :)
If you don't like beer I'd suggest a kristalweizen... it's a light wheat beer... very good...
