Today I went to get coffee before work. I do this several times a month, sometimes even once a week. Today I brought my own travel mug because they give you a small discount for it. Therefore, I had a conversation with the barista about the size of the mug and the positive environmental effects of reusable containers.
So she made my coffee and I thanked her as I prepared to leave. Suddenly, she offered me a free sandwhich! Why yes thank you I'd love one! What kind of weird provision is this? Why me?
And that is the tale of how I got dinner tonight. I'm counting it as a new thing of the day, because I've never gotten a free anything without knowing someone at the establishment.
I have a love/hate relationship with Starbucks... on one hand I hate how they've destroyed the coffee business, putting Mom&Pop coffee shops out of business... on the other hand... they's not a bad company.
ReplyDeleteOh, but they are way worse as a company than appear on paper. And, yeah, I used to work there. However, the free perks they give to customers, like you Kat, are awesome.
