Kat's Kitchenette

I cooked dinner tonight, and it did not go as planned. It was time to clean out the pantry, so I made a box of mac and cheese and added chicken and garlic. Sadly, I had no real cheese to add, and there wasn't enough sauce. It came out kind of dry and was also quite bland. I tried to fix the problem with hot sauce, but even that family favorite fell flat. Oh well. I’ll live to cook another day. It might help to keep more ingredients on hand!

I should point out that this was nothing like the blueberry pancake escapade. That incident set off the fire alarm (which is cleverly placed above the stove) and ruined a skillet. However, this was just after I moved in, so I blame it on dust in the stove and a crappy skillet I forgot to spray with Pam.

Let's get one thing straight though: I'm a really good baker. I can cookie and cassarole you into a corner...I'm just not so good with the stovetop. We'll get there. :)
