My most recent literary acquisition is a book entitled Dating Jesus. NO this is not one of those terrible right-wing Christian books about "kissing dating goodbye" or anything. It's a memoir by a woman who was raised Fundamentalist and became a feminist.
I've always been fascinated by gender roles, especially within heterosexual relationships. I can't tell you how many conversations I had with the girls in my college dorm about Christian marriage, egalitarianism, and power vs. submission.
I'm looking forward to getting into this new book and further exploring Christian feminism. I'll keep you updated.
