Day One

Today I began by brainstorming a list of "new things I've never done before." You'll have to wait to see what some of them are! Today I'm still in Ft. Wayne for a college roommate reunion, so I had to think inside the box.

We went to this place called Cinema Grill, which is a movie theatre/restaurant. There are tables instead of theatre seats, and you order at the tables instead of buying popcorn at a concession counter. We saw Bedtime Stories, the new Adam Sandler comedy, and it was pretty great. Cute, funny, good special effects, and some lovely twists of the plot.

It was wonderful to laugh and hang out with my some of my best friends. I never realize how much I miss these amazing women until we've been apart for a while. These are strong women who fought their way through college with me. We had some hard times and way too many laughs to count. We really took each other for granted when we lived together. It's been blissful to pick up where we left off. We can jump right into serious conversations but still laugh at jokes we made years ago. I cherish my time with these girls more than I ever thought I would. I love you, 1L!

So today I did one new thing and I wrote. I forgot to pack my Bible, so I did not read it.
