A Historical Nugget

This is George Washington Carver. Carver's work resulted in the creation of 325 products from peanuts, more than 100 products from sweet potatoes and hundreds more from a dozen other plants native to the South. He had nothing to do with the recent salmonella peanut product scare.

  1. Carver was doing work trying to find out an easy way soldiers in WWI could get protein... they couldn't very easily haul around a ton of peanuts... so it lead to peanut butter.
